Volkswagen is all set to unveil their latest Beetle out of the factory line. The car makers have brought out the Beetle TDI Clean diesel. This 2013 Volkswagen Beetle has just been out. Barely a week old, it has already taken the market by storm. The Beetle brand is a tough one to beat, and with the current add-ons it is going to be rough on their competitors. The Volkswagen Beetle packs a mean punch in its compact casing. It houses a 2.5 liter cylinder powered by turbo charged 2 liter four cylinder engine. The Beetle is designed with the 2 liter turbo diesel that churns out 140 hp. The horse power generates a torque equivalent to that generated in the Volkswagen Golf, the Jetta and the Passat. The car is a front wheel drive with either a six speed manual or a DGS dual clutch automatic transmission.

In an earlier report, we notified you of a paradigm shift in the thought going into purchasing cars among American people. With diesel cars being the popular choice, the Volkswagen Beetle with its diesel powered 236 lb-ft torque has the upper hand against its competitors. The car is going to rake quite high on the fuel economy scale with the company expecting a 29/39 mpg on the city/highway. The price of the vehicle hasn’t been fixed yet, but will be announced shortly, during the summers. The Beetle is modeled on the lines of its predecessors, the only exception being the 17 inch alloy wheels.
