We already know that RUF Automobile has been playing with the electric units for last two years. But what we didn’t know was what it was doing actually. So, here is a sneak peak at what RUF Automobiles has been trying to achieve over the time span of last two years. Till now we knew that only Porsche has its say in the motors and batteries market but now it seems RUF Automobile has prepared itself to enter this market with full force. RUF Automobile has prepared ten electrified Porsche 911s. Yes, you heard it right because that’s what we mean when we say that the company has been playing with the electricity unit.
These ten cars have been rolled out with the help of Siemens AG. All of them are based on the 997 Carrera car model and are equipped with three dirvetrains. But if you are thinking that the company is over with this fever, then let us warn you that the company seems to be really serious about it. The first car type supports a 180 kW engine mated with a stick gearbox. This car is supposed to have a top speed of 136mph and is capable of crossing the mark of 60 mph in just about 7 seconds. The second is the 250 kW engine sporting a two speed automatic gearbox. Even this car has a top speed of 136 mph but this car is capable of crossing the 60 mph in just 5 seconds. The third and the last drivetrain has same motors but is mated with an angular gearbox. Unlike the two cars described above this car has a speed limit of only 112 mph.
