The announcements by Renault revealed that the prototype version of the Dacia Duster is all set to battle at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for 2011, which made people believe that it is to sport a rear wing that is big from its official renderings. But unlike the expectations from many, the car seems to be huge as the photos of it have been released.
The pictures of the Dacia Duster were revealed by Jean Philippe Dayraut, who is to be the driver trying to smash records at his first appearance at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for 2011. The pictures revealed by him show that the car was photographed at the aerodynamic tunnel and during the building process of the car that portrays the interesting aero kit that has rear wings that is of two pieces and is huge along with the splitter in the front that matches the rear wings.
From the looks of the Ducia, it is possible to tell that it is an improvement of the racecar for the Andros Trophy based on which the engineers have worked on for the modifications at the same time maintaining the mid-engine layout. The Renault Sport Technologies has come with the engine that is expected to produce a horsepower of 850. The specific details of the engine and the performance are yet to be revealed by Renault. But the specification will be out on the air as soon as the Pikes Peak is filled with the racing cars by June 26th. The testing phase of the car is scheduled to start by June 5th.
