Chevy seemed to stand on the tip of being the most technologically advanced carmaker in US, as announced the roll-out of largest deployment of vehicles with built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi in the market this summer. New pricing of Audi USA had led open a can of worms, but needed not to worry – it’s for the betterment of petrolheads. Silently slipped in the R8 Limited Edition performance package, this new version of the sports car is said to go on sale from summer. How about choosing a one between BMW i8 and Volkswagen XL1…well, the answer could be the BMW. But Volkswagen thinks the other way with regards to its most fuel-efficient car on the planet. Announced to make only 200 units of XL1 at its factory in Osnabrück, Germany, 30 units will be allotted to the UK market, confirmed the German automaker. Even the pricing is also announced, as meant to be tagged at £98,515 (RRP OTR). Deliveries shall be commencing from the end of May 2014. British journalist Andrew Frankel was behind the wheel during the whole adventure. Averaging 73.6 mpg (3.1 l/100 km), the journey took him from Tangier in Northern Africa to the UK, visiting two continents, four countries and three time zones in a total time of 27 hours on the road which he shared with a relief driver – arriving at Goodwood in time for its appearance at the Festival of Speed having covered a total of 1,223-miles (1,968 km).
