The Porsche Company recently released the till date most powerful and fastest version of Panamera, the Turbo S. This version of the car adds to the range more feature and performance oriented additions with a view to cater many audiences. Additions include an updated version of the Turbo 4.8liter V8 engine with improved turbochargers that boast titanium-aluminum turbine wheels and modified engine control management.
Changes like these have made the productivity of the car become enhanced to provide an output of 550HP and a peak torque of 750Nm, the “Sports” and “Sports plus” models of the same car provide a peak torque of 800Nm. The Lunch Control function of the Panamera Turbo S provides a top speed of 191mph and an acceleration of 0-100km/hr in 3.8seconds. In contrast to this, the standard model offers a top speed of 188mph with the same acceleration in 4.2seconds.
Despite the same fuel consumption the performance of the Turbo S is same as the Turbo, providing 15mpg in cities, 23mpg in highways and 18mpg on combined roads with a decent mileage of 11.5km/lt.
This version of the car also provides to the driver few additions in the form of driving dynamics control systems as standard active roll stabilizing system (PDCC). The PTV function helps in distribution of the torque to both front and rear wheels and also tunes the engine and suspension settings.
Exterior changes to this car include
- The 20inch Turbo two alloy wheels
- Side skirts from Porsche’s exclusive range
- Adaptive four way rear spoiler
- Two color leather upholstery for interiors with options like black/cream or agnate grey/cream
The Porsche Panamera Turbo S is available at a base price of $173,200 which does not include the delivery charges worth $975. Sales in Europe start in June at a price set at €167,076 inclusive of VAT charges.
