The leading Indian tyre manufacturer MRF Tyres has revealed its all-new single seater racing series that features F2000 cars. The opening round is to be held as support for the Indian Grand Prix at Buddh International Circuit on Oct 26 to 28.
The carbon fiber Formula-spec Dallara chassis was demonstrated by the Indian driver Narain Karthikeyan at Chennai. The vehicle is powered by a 2.0 liter 210 bhp Renault powertrain coupled with six-speed manual sequential gearbox making it the fastest single make formula series in Asia region. A prize fund of about US $100,000 (about Rs. 55.36) is at stake.

The car has been assembled in India itself by Coimbatore based Jayem Automotive under license from Dallara. The second round of the four round championships will be held as the support race for the first round of FIA GT1 Series at the Buddh Circuit. Then it will makes its way back to Chennai for the third and fourth round at Madras Motor Race Track scheduled on 1stto 3 rd Feb and 8thto 10th Feb respectively.
