The much rumoured and speculated Model X Crossover from Tesla will be unveiled on February 9th this year at the company’s design studio in California. This announcement was made by Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Twitter. But he did not mention whether this would be a concept model or an actual production variant.
So it is now known that the vehicle will not make its debut at the Chicago Auto Show as was expected earlier. The concept version of this vehicle was expected to make its debut last year at the Frankfurt Auto Show, but didn’t.
The Model X Crossover is supposed to be an all-wheel drive vehicle with a pure electric powertrain. It is slated to be available for purchase by the late 2013 at a price similar to the Model S.
