A chase sequence is one of the most adrenaline-pumping scenes in any Hollywood flick. In the race to 2012 London Olympics, British automaker, MINI has endeavored to re-enact the chase sequence from the 1969 movie, The Italian Job.
As a part of the promotion of the 2012 London Olympics, MINI has created a short film, featuring several athletes participating in the games. It’s called The Britalian Job.
Directed by Top Gear lead director Phil Churchward, the video stars some of the most recognizable faces from the Olympic games, including Daley Thompson, James Cracknell, Jonathan Edwards and Matthew Pinsent. British supermodel Jodie Kidd boasts some dramatic stunts on a supermoto, while being pursued by three MINI Coopers.

The MINI Coopers featured in the video are exclusive 2012 London Olympic models. Inspired by the 1969 The Italian Job, the new remake adopts some scenes from the original film, like the Park Lane Motors, where the MINI Coopers set out.
