Mercedes Benz has always been known for making the most luxurious cars. It is known for integrating the very latest in technology and gadgetry into its vehicles and this time it is going to equip all its A-class cars with iPhone and Siri.
Mercedes will launch this car in next month’s Geneva Motor Show and at that time they will show off the new updated COMAND Infotainment System. The user interface has been fully overhauled and the old black and beige color scheme has been replaced with a sharper, modern, three-dimensional design with a range of new features and functions, nearly all of which are centered around the iPhone 4S.
This is the first time that any automaker is going to integrate Apple’s Siri voice recognition technology and this technology will also allow the users to connect to Facebook, twitter, send messages and emails, access all their favorite songs through voice commands and even get weather reports. This new digital setup will also allow the driver to get real time traffic data, find the car in a crowded parking lot and find interesting places with the help of the new Garmin Navigation System.
At first this new technology will only be made available in the A-Class cars, but the officials said that by this fall the iPhone integrated command online suite services are also coming to the B, C and E-class models as well.
