Mercedes Benz sold around 22,501 cars in the month of January and took a lead ahead of BMW. The figure represents an overall increase of 11%, as the major portion was backed by C Class deliveries.
This wasn’t the situation in 2012; Bavarian Mercedes Benz Motor Works had chased the rival German by a mere exceeding number of 7,326 in that year. As of now in 2013, BMW sales had rose by 0.7% i.e. to 16,513 units being lead by X5 which increased to more than double.

All of the figures do not include Mercedes Benz cargo vans and BMW’s MINI, as the duos do not tend to fall under luxury class.
