Mahindra and Mahindra, the largest SUV maker in India, is all set to make its debut in North America with an all new Technical Center at Troy, Michigan. This will be the first training facility of M&M in USA and will be benefiting the US auto market with its own ideas and consultation services.
The facility will be dedicated at rendering its technical services for the Mahindra customers based in the US at the same time dedicating the support for the Indian automotive and tractor demands in India. At first, the facility will be recruiting about 25 engineers for the work, which will be doubled depending on the demand.
Mahindra’s new Technical Center was inaugurated by Chief Executive for Technology, Product development and Sourcing for Automotive and Farm sector equipment Sector, Rajan Wadhera along with the glorious presence of Michael Finney, CEO and president, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Mayor of city of Troy; Janice Daniels and Prashant Kamat CEO Mahindra Engineering, India.
On the event, Rajan Wadhera, said that the new center is designed as the base for the Mahindra to address and offer rising engineering demands for Mahindra’s auto and farm engineering know how, along with the Global development center based in India. The new center at Troy is another petal in the neutral innovative network that consists of the units located in India, China, Korea and US.
Prashant Kamat, CEO Mahindra Engineering, said that it is quite a pleasure to inaugurate the new Technical Center in one of the leading automotive hubs. Being the first technical unit in USA, it will be offering impressive options and opportunity for the local R&D talent to deliver innovative solutions to the customers in the region and provide support for Mahindra and Mahindra’s automotive and tractor engineering requirements in the Indian market.
