Believe it or not, alcohol had nothing to do with it. According to TMZ, actress and socialite Lindsay Lohan crashed a brand new Porsche 911 into back of a truck.
The 25-year-old totaled the car, hitting the back of an 18-wheeler on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica, California. Pictures reveal the car’s front completely crumpled, and the witnesses suggest that it was Lohan who took the wheels, while her assistant was on the back seat. Both of them have been reported with bruises and bleeding.
The incident took place on Friday afternoon and Lohan was chauffeured off in a Cadillac Escalade, while her assistant was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. The actress claims that it was the truck driver’s fault, as he kept changing lanes without any indication. However, it is a little hard to believe as WENN reports the actress tried to bribe the truck driver.
What’s really heartbreaking is that the car was a brand new 2012 Porsche 911 S, which Lohan had rented. While police is still investigating the case, we’re glad that the actress saw the bad side of an 18-wheeler and lived to tell the story.
