Lamborghini the luxury brand name that knows nothing but excellence will be half a centaury old next year.
The world’s most revered sports car manufacturer recently disclosed its program, the series of events, to celebrate its golden jubilee (50th anniversary) in 2013.
The company has launched a website, http://www.lamborghini50.com, which will keep the owners of Lamborghini supercars and fans informed about the celebration and other news through updates.
The company’s Urus SUV Concept and Sesto Elemento trackday hyper car made debut at the recently held two exclusive vintage car events the Quail and Concorso Italiano. During the event, Lamborghini President and chief executive Stephan Winkelman also revealed the images of the logo that has specifically been designed for the golden jubilee celebrations.
The golden jubilee celebrations will be organized in Italy as well as numerous other places of the world, starting in May 2013, during the same month which marks the 50th anniversary the car manufacturer’s establishment.
A Grand tour, the largest Lamborghini rally in the history, will run through Italy starting 7th of May through 11th of May. The massive rally will cover around 1,200 kilometers of Italians roads and will include cars from all around the globe.
The rally will include cars from all generations, from historic GTs to the futuristic supercars of modern world. The rally is planned to start the fashion capital of Fashion & design – Milan. On the concluding day, a procession of cars will run from Bologna to Lamborghini’s Sant Agata Bolognese-based factory.
The company has also announced that 10 per cent of the sponsorship revenue would be donated to a fund established to support rebuilding of religious, social and cultural centers which were damaged when a severe earthquake hit Emilia-Romagna in May 2012.
Established in May 1963, Lamborghini has come a long way from being an Italian car manufacturer to become a reputed global player. Today, it is present in forty-five countries through a strong network of more than 120 dealers. Lamborghini supercars like 350 GT, Aventador, Murcielago are counted amongst the world’s best.
