The Superamerica 45 from Ferrari that is coachbuilt for Peter Kalikow an American billionaire who was the former owner of the New York Post has arrived at the Villa d’Este for contest of the Concorso D’Eleganza. The car was filmed on its way to the contest by a lucky by passer on the ability of the roof mechanism of the car on it’s possibly the first outing and the video features the rotating top of the supercar which is shockingly fast.
Similar to the Ferrari 575 Superamerica, the 599 GTB-based 45 Superamerica which is also a limited edition sports the roof made of carbon fiber that has the ability to flip open in a short span of six seconds, which is very much faster to any other convertible available in the market. The rotatable top of the Renault Wind has the ability to stow away in 12 seconds under its boot, but Ferrari has a simpler solution as to place the roof above the lid of the boot.

Albeit the cost of the car is worth a fortune, the manufactures will not find it hard to incorporate such a solution in its cars that are manufactured in larger volumes as the solutions seems to be safe, fast, smart as it does not affect the boot space at any cost.
