Diesel is firing up every car segments in the auto fraternity of whole world and so US is not left behind.
We had already reported about the expectations of Chevrolet Cruze in Chicago Auto Show, now it has been a reality. Making a splash with a price tag of $25,695 it is all set to outdo other model plates like VW Jetta TDI. However, Chevy’s price band is still much premium but it confirmed that its high end trim 2LT will deliver more of than all other rivals.
On inside, it is consisted with heated leather seats, 7” touch screen display, auto dimming mirrors, power side mirrors and a lot more. However, mileage is not yet revealed but a speculation of 45 mpg is doing rounds in the industry.
It is the first diesel car from this American carmaker after Chevette in 1987. The 2.0 liter Cruze comes only with 6 speed automatic transmission that leads to 148 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, out of which torque can also be increased to 280 lb-ft for 10 seconds with the function of auto boost.
Dates are not yet disclosed but months from May to July looks a soft target for this one.
