It seems the much delayed Alfa Romeo crossover could well be a reality after all as reports on the net suggests that the company is looking to bring in the vehicle in the market as early as 2015. This crossover was supposed to have come in 2003, when the company showed its Kamal crossover concept at the Geneva Motor Show. But for some reason the Kamal concept did not make it to the production line.
Reports which have now surfaced suggest that development of a new Alfa Romeo crossover has already started and the vehicle would be sitting in the showrooms in 2015. This new crossover will be one of the nine new vehicles that the company is planning to launch over the next 4 years. As of now, the company has only two vehicles to offer to the customers – Giulietta and the MiTo hatches.

The new Alfa Romeo crossover will be key to the company’s success in the US since these large vehicles are extremely popular in the country. According to some reports, the new crossover will have the same wheelbase as 2014 Jeep Liberty. This has been done to speed up the development of the car.
The production of this vehicle will happen in Fiat headquarter in Turin, Italy and the car would be sold worldwide.
